I guess I’m not used to fresh beer. But I like it. This brew pours a deep golden clear color with a large head that dissapates quickly but leaves some tracing on the glass. Very carbonated, and very sharp. Packed with flavor. Not excellent, but everything a microbrew should be... so much more character and taste than the macrobrews dominating America, so it’s safe to say I will never buy a Coors, Bud, or Miller product ever again. Not when something like this is available in my area. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 13, 2003 I don't detect the hops that others do. If anything, this beer has light hops at most. It's extremely mild and unchallenging, yes, but that misses the point. Every blond ale is unchallenging (until the day that Dogfish Head brews one). For what it's meant to be, this is an excellent blond because it's got a tremendous wheaty/yeasty bite that gives this beer more character than most. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2004 Pours dark gold with a nice head and lacing. Aroma of malt, honey, and slight hops. Tastes malty, sweet, with a honey, semi-sweet white wine taste. I don’t detect much hop taste. This one was impressive. beachbum25 (802), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2006 12 oz Bottle-Pours a cloudy golden color w/a slight white head which dissipates quickly. Grassy, citrus aroma. Crisp, clean grainy flavor w/traces of fruit & lemon. Very fresh tasting with decent carbonation which seems to add to the flavor. Very smooth-very refreshing-very drinkable. Reminds you somewhat of a witbier. Good choice if you are looking for a refreshing "summer" brew. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
