A middle of the road porter with a medium brown hue and a thich beige head. Aroma of roasted nuts and dark chocolate. Some roasted malt flavors with a bit of nuttiness. Kind of a weird finish of sour fruit and chocolate.

Bottle: Deep brown hue with a tan small creamy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of mocha and caramel malts, light smoke, dried prune, aromatic and floral hops, and earthy yeast esters. The taste starts bittersweet with a lot of chocolate background and a touch of fruitiness. The midsection develops a smoky quality. The finish is lightly bitter and earthy, almost bready too. The feel is smooth, dry, and watery. Okay but seems to missing that something to stand out. An average porter at best but good enough to try once.

Dark colored, almost back. Lots of chocolate in this one. Sweet aroma with slight burnt flavor. Moderate body for the style. Sweet chocolate finish. I really like this one.

Black with a wispy tan head. Light/medium body. Bitter chocolate nose which translates to a sweeter milk chocolate in the taste.Good roasted malt notes also.

12 oz. brown longneck bottle. No freshness date seen, although there is space for one on the bottom of the label. Poured out a deep, dark chocolate brown, with some burnt orange highlights when held to the light. Thin tan head didn't stay around for long. Aromas are of charcoal, burnt oak, dark roasted malts, sweet caramel, but no hops. No hops aromas or flavors for that matter. Thin mouthfeel, and thin body to match it. Not the best porter I've ever had, that much is certain. Good thing I only bought one of these to try.
