I could tell just looking at this beer that it had a snowball’s chance of being really good. It wasn’t very bad either. Not much to see here TheBeerGod (3167), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2004 Bottle. Pours a deep mahogany. Small tan head. Nose is malty with light cocoa, hints of roasted character, and mild nuttiness. Taste is cocoa, malt, light roasted flavors, and some dryness and smokiness. Body had some moderate dryness to it along with a bit of tingly carbonation. Otherwise it’s relatively smooth. Finishes with cocoa, light smoke, some caramel, and malt with mild toffee notes. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
