| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2005 Pours hazy dark copper with small off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon-raisin English muffins, fruit, some nuts, some hops. Tastes fruity, caramel malty, with some toffee and hops in the finish. Fairly dense palate, with notable complexity and balance. This is the 3rd or 4th Blue Ridge (MD) beer I’ve had, and I like this brewery. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 3, 2005 Appealing purplish, McIntosh Apple red with a small khaki head that lasts shortly. Smell is very light, just some malt, raisins and toastedness. Very strong taste is unexpected. Sharp lemon up front with raisins, toffee, caramel, pit fruit. Alcohol is also strong. However, with that being said, there is an overpowering sharpness about this beer, more than just lemon and alcohol. Aftertaste leaves a lot to be desired, only toasted malts and nothing else. Beer seems incomplete. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Draft, poured a nice soft copper color, with nondesript head. Huge flavor, lot’s off stuff in this one. Nice full dopplebock flavor but with a unique fruity characfter that really surpassed all of my expectations. I had to get more of this one. Very good! scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2005 Deep hazed copper, thin tan creamy head. Nice nose of caramel, toffee, raisin, some dark bread, and slight earthy tones. Good balance with sweet caramel malt maintaining the upper hand to start, but a nice soft hoppy bitterness rounds it out. Medium bodied, light carbonation, bittersweet finish. Very drinkable stuff... hopscotch (5534), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2005 Bottle... Clear, ruby lager with a small, fizzy, off-white head... gone in a flash - leaving a reddish gem in my glass. The malty nose is of English toffee, milk chocolate and very light hickory smoke. Nice malt backbone with plenty of bitter and zesty hops to stick to the ribs. Flavors of butterscotch and toffee. Full-bodied with a sticky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, malty-sweet finish. HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 31, 2005 The nose is very yeasty/bready. Upon the first pour the head and lace look as if they are here to stay. The palate is rich, full, and swet. Very rounded and smooth. This beer may not be a show stopper, but it is an enjoyable malty lager. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA
