brentfeesh (1030), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Jan 4, 2008 Hey! Another old rating that someone finally entered in the system, Thanks to KP for that I believe. I really should start writing down more info on beers at these festivals. Anyhow, sampled at Brewgrass 2007 (I think). Hazy amber pour with a light head. The aroma, though light, smells like blueberry pie (crust and all). The flavor of blueberry is there but it is more like taking a bit out of a blue berry bush than just the blue berries. Fruit, twigs, and bark anyone? A spicy hop twist accompanies. Semi-dry mouth feel with a medium body. argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Oct 28, 2007 Hazy dark amber body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, blueberry, caramel, light chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, blueberry, some chocolate/caramel. Light-medium body, some effervescence. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Oct 28, 2007 Draught. Pours a deep strawberry color with a thin head. Let me just say I was very skeptical upon trying a "blueberry amber" ale. The aroma is quite nice though. Strong natural blueberry is present with toast and grapefruit. Smells like a fruit salad. The flavor is a little different with less pronounced blueberry and more citrus present. This is not overly sweet or like an alcopop at all, like I was worried. It has assertive grassy, citrusy hops to back up the sweet blueberry flavor. All the qualities of a solid, hoppy American amber are here. It’s a quirky, weird tasting beer that is not for everyone, but I liked it. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 22, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining foamy off white head and amber color. Aroma is blueberry, musty. Taste is blueberry, musty, metallic/plastic hops. Jay said came close to ruining this, so added fruit, so I’m interested in re-rating from a future batch. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 30, 2007 Date: 09/21/2007

hazy dark amber, fine beige head, streaks of drippy lace,
huge booberry aroma with lots of sweetness but held back by a light blueberry skin tartness,
sweet malt flavor, lots of blueberry, the tannons from the blueberry skin add a tartness the balances the sweet, a bit of the underlying caramel malt adds depth, the finish is from the blueberry tartness
