Taste is citrus hops-some bitter, secondary medium malt. Comes across as also having German Perle hops or being an English PA even if brewer notes says cascade. OK carbonation. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2007 Pours a hazy copper color with a frothy head of off-white. Mild to moderate aromas of grapefruit and pears in heavy syrup. Dry hopped flair. Flavors of caramel maltiness with citrus hoppiness layered upon it. Fleshy and rind portions of the grapefruit. Tongue-shriveling dryness. Sweetness is definitely tempered here. Moderate mouthfeel; drinkable. NachlamSie (1644), Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 19, 2006 Draught. Pours copper with a small white head. There’s caramel with minimal woody hops in the nose. The flavor shows plenty of sweetness akin to southern sweet tea and pears and just an average level of hop presence which comes across like fruit stems. This is not sadly thin like some other APA’s, but this lacks any real definition or a backbone. WISEGUY572 (1246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 9, 2006 Astringently dry, slightly hoppy, no real intensity or complexity of flavors, with a slightly off-putting vegetable or herbal note. Thin in the mouth, with a corresponding lack of malt flavor. Cloudy orange, with a small head that vanishes quickly. Nothing awful, nothing wonderful. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2004 Slightly cloudy gold/orange. Nice head. Cheerios and peppery aroma (better than that sounds). Decent hop flavor throughout. Rather one dimensiona, but a still a good session ale. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 29, 2004 A very average but very drinkable pale ale, in the west coast tradition. A little too much cascade for my tastes, I get very bored with the grapefruity acidity that is very present here. Nice floral aroma though. Crisp and clean though, and quite easy to drink.
