hazy copper, fine dirty white head, lots of lace,
light sweet caramel malt aroma with nice citrus,
creamy body,
lots of great grapefruit hop flavor, just enought slightly sweet caramel malts to provide the amount of balance needed to make this a great hop delivery system,

picking up some dyactyl in both the aroma and flavor that along with a reduction in hops gives it an English character,

dyactyl is still present but more hops hides it pretty well and brings it back to the American side, touch of astrengency in the bitterness

Taste is citrus hops-some bitter, secondary medium malt. Comes across as also having German Perle hops or being an English PA even if brewer notes says cascade. OK carbonation. Aroma of lightly sweet crystal malts and some mild orange hoppy presence. Starts with good fullness and sweet caramely malt with a light grapefruity hoppy balance finishing crisp and bittersweet. A pretty good APA. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Dark orange pour - initial rocky white head that dissipates after a while. Decent floral aroma with hints of mint. Flavor has a nice subtle underlying bitterness with just the right amount of citrus. First sip - I immiediately sadi to myself - SNPA clone. Thickish, clean mouthfeel. Not bad at all. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

A little too much cascade for my tastes, I get very bored with the grapefruity acidity that is very present here. Nice floral aroma though. Crisp and clean though, and quite easy to drink. Decent hop flavor throughout. Rather one dimensiona, but a still a good session ale. ChainGangGuy (2613), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2007 Appearance: Hazy, medium brown body with a small, fizzy white head. Fine layers of lacing as the beer goes down.
Smell: Toasted, biscuity maltiness in the aroma with just a bit of citrus.
Taste: Flavor of toasted biscuits with a very subtle sweetness. Notes of citrus. Medium earthy bitterness. Dry, toasty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Though light, it still makes for a fine APA. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Pours clear copper with small beige head. The aroma is grapefruit, chalk, hay, and is kind of weak. The falvor is caramel, leather, earthy hops, and a woody finish. A strange chalky bitterness lurks throughout. Meh.
