on tap-pours an off white head that laces and hazy orange/brown color. Aroma is sweet citrus hops, medium malt. Taste is sweet citrus hops-some bitter, medium malt-caramel, nice, smooth I2PA.

Sampled at Brewgrass 2007. Slightly cloudy orange-brown with a thin off-white head. NIce palate - stays just short of being too thick. Nice robust hop aroma - it has some grapefruit, but isn’t dominated by it, there’s some floral components as well. Same goes for the taste - there’s a some maltiness to add to the piney flavor. A nice NC DIPA.

Thanks kp for sharing. Pours a copper amber with a thin white head. The nose is citrusy, fruity, resinous hop character with a mild malty sweetness. The flavor is nice and fruity, tasty hop character, resinous, some mango, nice balancing malt sweetness. Palate is softly bitter and well balanced.

Poured from the tap at Blue Ridge Brewery to a light orange with a thick off-white head that lingered thru the entire glass and left excellent lacing. The nose, while not overly dominant, was the expected citrusy grapefruit, while the mouthfeel was thick, full (almost syrupy) that is at first bitter, but followed up soon by a touch of malty sweetness. Taste follows the citrusy grapefruit nose, though a little better pronounced, and this all rounds to a finsih that is long, warming and just a tad soapy. I’ve definitely had better DIPAs, but this is not bad at all.

Hazy red amber body with an appropriate head. The aroma is Centennial style hops. The hops are a little burny in the taste, but it’s oddly not an unpleasant lingering bitterness. This is pretty damn tasty, yo.

Poured at Brewgrass Festival. Pours a relatively clear copper orange, with a medium, foamy light tan head. Smells of pretty sizeable hops, with some citrus and malt characters as well. The flavor is big on the malts, with the big citrus grapefruit hops to give it some good balance. A little sticky on the palate, with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Pretty nice flavor, and fairly easy drinking for its alcohol content. Pretty nicely crafted brew.

Brewsgrass 07** You pretty much neede to know the secret handshake in order to try this at the fest.Poured a golden amber color with a ivory head.Piney hop aroma. Hops and malt, which were balanced well with a bitter hop finish.
