Commercial Description:
Light in color and flavor. The German malts compliment the subtle bitterness of the Czech Republic hops.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours hazy golden yellow with small white head. The aroma is sourdough bread, lemon zest, and a bit of grassy hops. The flavor is grassy hops, sourdough, and a rather unpleasant soap and leather finish. Not very exciting.

On tap at the brewpub 2/1/08: Pours a mostly transparent hazy golden with a pillowy, clumpy-lacing white head. Lightly grainy pale malty sweet nose has some mild lemon citrus notes. Starts semi-sweet and grainy with some earthy bittering hops and mild citrus tartness. Pretty true to style and drinkable.

Their blonde ale doesn’t really look that blonde to me, pouring a copper-orange color. Nice head and lacing. Slightly sweet floral hopping, light malt, crisp and light but a lot of flavor for what it is. A good session choice and really something I can see being refreshing on a hot summer day.

Appearance: Lightly hazy, burnished gold body with a small white head. Smell: Fairly mild aroma of crackers and sour lemons. Taste: Light wheat cracker flavor with no more than a touch of sweetness. Hint of lemons. Mild bitterness helps the beer finish dry. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A respectable light blonde ale.

Draught. Pours light yellow and is easily seen through. A firm white head adorns the brew. The aroma is really yeasty and musty with faint diacetyl. The taste is almost non-existant, some papery hops become known in the finish. There is a faint, non-descript sweetness. I imagine this is to satisfy all those Carolinians looking for the "lightest beer ya got," much like the sister brewery Foothills’ Salem Gold. Mission accomplished.
