Aroma: A fairly standard caramel malty nose, with some light earthy and spice notes too.
Appearance: This one pours a clear amber color into the glass.
Flavor: The flavor is fairly malty with a bit of an floral hop backing.
Palate: It has a decent mouthfeel and a light-medium body.
Overall Impression:
This is a decent beer, I thought it went pretty well with BBQ Ribs, so that was a plus. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but if you are here eating, it’s certainly worthy of a drink. I can see why they would have chosen this one to go with this place.

Contrary to other ratings, I believe this is the better of the 2 ales offered at the stadium. A more complex tasting beer, I get a full balance of hops, malts, biscuit, and dark sugars. tgncc (817), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 18, 2009 The aroma was malty, biscuity, grassy. The appearance was orange, white head. The flavor was malty, slight notes of grass, bread. The finish was a bittering from noble type hops. Fairly light bodied. It certainly has some characteristics of a pale lager, although they claim it’s 2 ales mixed together. I can’t guess which 2 les they are talking about. Not bad, not great. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2009 On tap at Citi Field. Poured dark amber with a fizzy white head. Aroma of slightly sweet biscuity malt with a slight touch of piney grassy hops. Flavor is lightly sweet with a nutty toffee character and a clean slightly hoppy finish. Not bursting with complexity but refreshing and drinkable. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA

Had no idea what sort of beer this was going in and my best guess at the time was pale lager. That pretty much sums up my thoughts. Maybe somebody hooked up the kegs wrong. zapprentice (310), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Tap at Citi. Aroma is of sugar. Flavor is watery and nothing to it. Worst of one available at Citi. LilBeerDoctor (1501), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2009 On tap at Citi Field. This is the worst of the 3 Brooklyn beers available at Citi Field. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Watery palate, very carbonated, and bland. Not very flavorful at all, just generic sweet caramel malt. It’s drinkable, sure, but certainly not worth the $7.50.
