Blue Star Aged Sour Cherry Stout

Cask at the brewpub. Medium black in color with a thin head that didn’t last too long. Not much aroma to make note of; maybe a little bit of sour cherry. I knew there was something not quite right at the first sip - I found a little sour cherry again, but nothing else. Hardly any malt flavor and no hops. The body was thin and watery - I think they didn’t hit a high enough mash temp. Overall, this beer was a disappointment - I’d hoped for something good from the name, but it wasn’t a sour cherry stout. It wasn’t even a stout.
