SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Dec 14, 2007 In the growler at Logan’s Pre-GABF party. Dark brown in color with an off white head of medium retention. Big thickness to the mouth. Great legs on this beer. Loved the rich chocolate and balanced roastedness. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Dec 6, 2007 From a growler during Logan’s Pre-GABF party. Dark pour with decent head. Lots of chocolate aromas. Roasty and toasty coffee too. Flavor fell off a bit, but still good with that nice porter dustiness. Good. fly (1331), austin, Tejas, USA Nov 24, 2007 Nice, rich, roasty and somewhat sweet but balanced by a very well presented bitterness. Very enjoyable. Too bad I had it on the warm side of a day that went from 89 degrees down to 39. c080331 (1), Syracuse, New York, USA does not count Nov 8, 2007 During a recent dinner at the Blue Star I, along with at least four others ,was burned by steam released from the pipes. I was burned from my head down my back. We were treated with indifference by the staff when we informed them what had happened. Followup phone calls also generated rudeness, and a "don’t bother us" attitude. They refuse to disclose their insurance agent/company. We were lucky that a three year old sitting at the table was out of the line of fire.
