Oct 1, 2009 Poured to a dark brown-black with medium thick tan head that dissipated and left okay lacing. A hint of sweet chocolate was in the nose and it carried over into the taste. Unfortunately, the mouthfeel was very thin and watery, which ultimately took away from the joys of the malty choclate. Finish, as expected from the mouth, was short and disappointing.

Dec 20, 2008 Draft at brewpub 8/28/08-Pours black with a nice tight tan head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Taste of the same with some chocolate thrown in. This medium bodied brew was a bit watered down and weak for a stout.

Jun 30, 2008 ON tap at the brewpub; looked the part perfectly. Nice creamy head. Aroma was a bit roasted with some cocoa and vanilla. Flavor was good, cocoa and roasted malt; great mouthfeel. Good beer.

Black color; thin creamy head. Light roasted malt aroma. Very smooth and milky texture, good roasted malt flavor, with the correct bitterness; refreshing, for a Stout. Interesting.

Aug 1, 2006 Draft - Black, tan creamy lasting head. Very nice nose of roasted vanilla bean, chocolate, and mild coffee. Flavor was deeply roasted chocolate tones, touches of vanilla and coffee, with a light citric hop tone late. Light to medium bodied, pillow soft carbonation, semi-bittersweet finish. Nice stuff...

Tall and foamy long lasting light brown head on a black body - beautiful! Bittersweet aroma with coffee and roasted malt. Nice roasted tone in the flavor with coffee and citrus notes. Little thin but tasty and easy drinkable!
