Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Cloudy amber color. Nose is slightly hoppy. Starts hoppy, finishes with strong hoppiness, what else with an amber. Not my style. $1.25 for a 12oz bottle from Liquor Barn Lexington, KY. asheft (1438), Marburg, Germany

Flavor a bit nutty, with detectible hops and a little malt. Also some butterscotch. Overall a pleasant flavour, though a bit astringent. Medium body. Not a bad drink. kujo9 (1078), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA

Clean toasty malt aroma, hints of caramel, roast, & earthy hop. Well balanced, w/ a bit of an herbal hop flavor in the finish & aftertaste; Very low, clean bland malt flavor (toasty). also a little roast in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation, dry m/f, fuller light body. Average at best, nothing special. Suttree (2742), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2004 Clear copper, with no head. Nice spicy, savory flavor up front. Smooth, firm malt flavors, as well. There is an unfortunate stale, "wet cardboard" caracteristic toawards the finish that threatend to ruin the whole thing, though. Sampled at 2004 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 13, 2004 Bottle pours caramel, large foamy off-white head, very sticky lacing, with mild carbonation. Toasted malts, slight grains, and a bit of biscuit on the nose. Strong bitter grains on first sip, followed by a mild hop bitterness that I could best describe as a water logged ashtray. Body is lacking, seems rather empty. Mouthfeel is rather light too. Finishes with a biting graininess that I dont care for. This one isn't malty enough, and too BMC like for my tastes.
