Jethro6191 (18), USA Oct 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Hop aroma and flavor with a dry finish. Elwood (661), Leesburg, Virginia, USA Oct 25, 2009 Serving: Draft.
Appearance: Deep gold color with a sizable, creamy, light tan head. Good head retention.
Aroma: Hoppy nose with floral and citric notes and a light malt notes.
Flavor: Hop forward with earthy and herbal hop notes. Some pine and soap notes. Light malt notes try in vain to help balance this one out.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel and a medium-long, bitter finish.
Overall: A fairly solid example of the style, but not worth seeking out per se. MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Sep 6, 2009 12oz - Aroma is very malty with a touch of hops. Flavor is hoppier but still malty. Typical boring pale ale. coyotehunter (542), , Michigan, USA Aug 22, 2009 thank you Mrbunn for this goodness. Smells like cascades...pours dirty orange with no head. Wow. this tastes like absolute nasty ass swill. Some tobacco, swill, filth, dirt, and some tea. Like an orangutans ass. Epic Fail. MrBunn (1520), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2009 Bottle. Pours a odd and cloudy orange/brown with little head. Aromas of yucky grapefruit and yuck. Flavor seems to be based around a grapefruit hops presence, but just plain fails. This has no carbonation on the palate, hops are there, but they’re awfully done in the landfill of mess that is this beer. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 28, 2009 Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Caramel orange, off white foam. Aroma is floral hops, caramel malt. Simple. Taste is caramel, floral, light spicy hops. Ferociousaurus (35), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jul 18, 2009 Cloudy orange color with low head and only a little lacing. Great hoppy nose with floral notes. Taste is overpoweringly hoppy, but not very complex. I like it because I like hops, but there are better Pale Ales. ben4321 (953), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 7, 2009 Location: 12 oz bottle from Total Wine - Richmond, 7/7/09
Aroma: Nice floral hops with some citrus zest, grapefruit, a bit of pine
Appearance: Orange-amber pour, about a half inch of frothy white head, light movement in the glass, decent amount of lacing
Flavor: Nice amount of hops, decently balanced from the malts, but the hops dominate in a good way...
Palate: An impressively full body considering the appearance, clean
Overall Impression:
An enjoyable example of the APA style, I really liked this one...
