Commercial Description:
An American standard, BBC APA is a full bodied and heavily hopped American Ale. It is copper in color and brewed with a blend of pale and crystal malts, balancing the citrus and pine flavors from large doses of American and English hops to create a very drinkable, hoppy ale. BBC APA is a hophead’s dream!

nose is lemony wet grain bill. lightly salty. flavor is furhter salty, some bitterness. very wet mouthfeel, translucent off-straw body with good lingering carb. flavor is equally as diluted as mouthfeel, does not live up to its ’large doses’ of hops claim, and what hop character there is qualifies as off.

Copper-Amber with Frothy white head...nice lacing. Grass, Citrus, floral and mild caramel malt aroma and flavour notes. Medium bitterness and body, slightly watery, and decent balance. Nice apa.

Serving: Draft. Appearance: Deep gold color with a sizable, creamy, light tan head. Good head retention. Aroma: Hoppy nose with floral and citric notes and a light malt notes. Flavor: Hop forward with earthy and herbal hop notes. Some pine and soap notes. Light malt notes try in vain to help balance this one out. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel and a medium-long, bitter finish. Overall: A fairly solid example of the style, but not worth seeking out per se.

12oz - Aroma is very malty with a touch of hops. Flavor is hoppier but still malty. Typical boring pale ale.

thank you Mrbunn for this goodness. Smells like cascades...pours dirty orange with no head. Wow. this tastes like absolute nasty ass swill. Some tobacco, swill, filth, dirt, and some tea. Like an orangutans ass. Epic Fail.

Bottle. Pours a odd and cloudy orange/brown with little head. Aromas of yucky grapefruit and yuck. Flavor seems to be based around a grapefruit hops presence, but just plain fails. This has no carbonation on the palate, hops are there, but they’re awfully done in the landfill of mess that is this beer.
