Taste is really good. Strong flavors. Not sure wha tthe difference is between an APA and IPA besides one letter but this is a really good beer. The drinkability is really good and the after taste is subtle and smooth. entropy666 (11), Terre Haute, Indiana, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 13, 2007 rating #225. i have drank many a six pack of this beer. local cheap hoppy. great times. pours clear amber with a lasting white head with good lacing every time. aroma nutty toffee pine. flavor big nutty pine hop assault. some malty toffee undertones but not enough to make up for the onslaught of hops. bitter nutty pine finish. medium bodied. a bit unbalanced (it could use a some malt) but i still love it. an old friend. brentfeesh (1038), Gadsden, Alabama, USA

Malty, nutty, spicy aroma with light metallic hints. The flavor is semi-sweet with malt and caramel (lightly so) with strong pine and spicy hops. Semi-dry medium body. Drinkable. zug4abby (287), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Jan 11, 2007 Bottle from Beer_Hawk... thanks Stephen! Aroma is light and fresh with a slight apple note. Very light on the nose, not to much there to describe. Cloudy, light brown color with a very small and bubbly head. Flavor is bitter, almost to the point of being a little rotten. Plus, I find that the dryness of the beer is really making it hard to enjoy anything else about the beer. Foxbush (458), Richmond, Virginia, USA

The hops citrus aroma comes at you as your nose enters the glass. The head is frothy and laces down the glass. This is one of my first beers of Christmas ’06. I like the raw hops that gives this beer its appeal. The cloudy amber ale is one of the best I have enjoyed in awhile. I have purchase more from this brewer. It is a good APA.
