Commercial Description:
An American standard, BBC APA is a full bodied and heavily hopped American Ale. It is copper in color and brewed with a blend of pale and crystal malts, balancing the citrus and pine flavors from large doses of American and English hops to create a very drinkable, hoppy ale. BBC APA is a hophead’s dream!

A very strong good smell. Pours a nice dark color with a tan foamy head. Taste is really good. Strong flavors. Not sure wha tthe difference is between an APA and IPA besides one letter but this is a really good beer. The drinkability is really good and the after taste is subtle and smooth.

Nice amber color with creamy head. Thin, bitter, and astringent with notes of rotten food in the aroma. Very dry with little maltiness or sweetness. Bought in 12 oz. bottles. Not on my regular menu.

Pours with an amber-brown body topped by a thin head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet with a strong bitter, hoppy finish and a vary slight rotten fruit note. Medium bodied, dry and warming.

rating #225. i have drank many a six pack of this beer. local cheap hoppy. great times. pours clear amber with a lasting white head with good lacing every time. aroma nutty toffee pine. flavor big nutty pine hop assault. some malty toffee undertones but not enough to make up for the onslaught of hops. bitter nutty pine finish. medium bodied. a bit unbalanced (it could use a some malt) but i still love it. an old friend.

12 oz bottle. Pours lightly hazy amber with a wispy head. Malty, nutty, spicy aroma with light metallic hints. The flavor is semi-sweet with malt and caramel (lightly so) with strong pine and spicy hops. Semi-dry medium body. Drinkable.

Bottle from Beer_Hawk... thanks Stephen! Aroma is light and fresh with a slight apple note. Very light on the nose, not to much there to describe. Cloudy, light brown color with a very small and bubbly head. Flavor is bitter, almost to the point of being a little rotten. Plus, I find that the dryness of the beer is really making it hard to enjoy anything else about the beer.

This my first Bluegrass beer. It is a good one. The hops citrus aroma comes at you as your nose enters the glass. The head is frothy and laces down the glass. This is one of my first beers of Christmas ’06. I like the raw hops that gives this beer its appeal. The cloudy amber ale is one of the best I have enjoyed in awhile. I have purchase more from this brewer. It is a good APA.

Bottle from Beer_Hawk; Nose of citrus hops; slightly hazy copper color with a small beige head; flavor of bitter hops with a tiny bit of caramel, the bitterness lasts for a long finish.
