Deep amber colour, fantastic hoppy aroma, thick sided head that clings to the glass. Hops show through in the flavour, with some sharp bitterness and long lingering aftertaste. Great APA. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Pours a reddish-amber with thick sea-foam like head. Aroma of sweet hops, and fresh grapefruit. Very lightly hopped flavor with a gently spicy bitterness. Very smooth, very light bodied. A good all around every day kind of beer. illinismitty (1800), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Sampled at the Music City Brewers Festival. Pours amber with a nice off white head and decent head retention. Faint aroma of caramel and fruity hops. Nice malt backbone, with some mild tea and caramel notes offeset by spicy hops. Some dryness. A little bit of soapy flavors come out in the finish. Not bad, and one of the better pale ales in a pool of very mediocre pale ales. hopscotch (5528), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2006 Bottle... Mine poured a mostly clear, orange/amber with a large, frothy, off-white head. Terrific retention. The aroma is equally malty and hoppy. Malty caramel and very light milk chocolate. Hoppy grapefruit, tropical fruit and pine. Hearty, malty flavor up front; followed closely by an abundance of American bittering hops. The result is a brew with good balance that leans just a little toward the bitter side of the scale. Full-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Lengthy, moderately bitter finish. More body than any other ≤6% ABV beer I’ve ever tasted with the exception of Dark Horse’s Tres Blueberry Stout (4.5%). ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Nice juicy and fruity hops all over this one. Grapefruit and tart doughy tangerines with a crisp, and fresh, juicy flavor... very nice bitterness, wonderfully grassy fresh hop cones everywhere. Pretty much what an APA is supposed to be about, very well-crafted. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 13, 2006 tap at the brewpub. Dark amber body with a nice head, much lighter when held aloft. Smells of centennial. Nice citrus, &b a bit of grass. Taste is great, sticky pine with some sweet malt and a nice orange note in there. Easy to drink, nothing over the top or too intense. The only thing that I don’t like is in the finish & that is a bit of a roast grain flavor that detracts, but still a good beer.

Smells of flowery/fruity hops and malty caramel. Flavor is similar, but the caramel is more assertive. Pleasant light bitter hop finish.
