Commercial Description:
An American standard, BBC APA is a full bodied and heavily hopped American Ale. It is copper in color and brewed with a blend of pale and crystal malts, balancing the citrus and pine flavors from large doses of American and English hops to create a very drinkable, hoppy ale. BBC APA is a hophead’s dream!

Nicely rounded APA that basically serves its purpose. Hoppy nose, medium caramel body, easy drinkablity and a slightly bitter finish. Nothing exceptional, but I could easily drink a few of these with little effort.

This beer poors a hazy amber with a creamy off white head, mod lacing. the aroma is nice and loaded with aromatic hops. Flaovr is also hop citrus dominated with a crisp and bitter finish. Malt is somewhat lacking in my opinion and medium bodied.

Had this on tap at BBC’s brewpub @ CVG. Nice orange-copper color, nice crisp taste. Hoppiness could’ve been a little stronger but I guess they saved that for their IPA, which unfortunately was not available.

12 oz bottle. Pours a light copper with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity and full of citrus. The taste has a little malt, but a good amount of hops with citrus, orange, grapefruit. Very creamy finish, pleasant mouthfeel. A very good APA.

12oz. bottle, very fresh sample straight from KY. Pleasantly hoppy aroma, fruity, citric and floral with hints of orange, grapefruit, pineapple and a bit of background toasty malt sweetness and herbal spice. Light-medium orange-amber color, filtered, with a creamy, moderately thick and lasting head with plenty of delicate lacing to boot. Malty up front, biscuity, lightly sweet and honeyish, progressively growing hoppier throughout towards a juicy, spicy, citric hop close that also features a good amount of satisfying, lingering bitterness. Palate is creamy and effervescent, body is medium. Actually quite good, certainly worth revisting.

Draft. Lots and lots of hops, both in the aroma and taste. "Flavor supported by generous amounts of malt" just isn’t accurate. The aroma is floral with a note of spruce. The flavor is heavy with floral hops to the point of being perfumy with a aftertaste of scented soap. Bitter it is. There is no balance with malts, at least in the draft I had. Pleasant, refreshing mouthfeel.

On tap at their Cincinnati Airport location. Pours a medium copper with a foamy, slightly off-white head, decent lacing. Has a floral and sprucey aroma with a touch of mint in the background. Flavor is very hoppy and resiny with grapefruit notes, a smidgen of mint and a some nutty undertones. Pleasant, sticky mouthfeel. Very decent brewpub APA.

12 oz bottle - Pours cloudy amber with a healthy 1/4 inch offwhite head that laces quite well. Aroma is strong grapefruit and some flowers. Flavor blasts you upfront with grapefruit hops that would please even the pickiest hophead. Odd though how you don’t get much malt flavor though. More of a grainy finish and somewhat dry for a pale ale. On the palate this one just feels a little wierd and unbalanced due to the powerful hops in the front. Oddly enough though it was somewhat refreshing tonight since my air conditioner quit working.
