Grapefruit and tart doughy tangerines with a crisp, and fresh, juicy flavor... very nice bitterness, wonderfully grassy fresh hop cones everywhere. Pretty much what an APA is supposed to be about, very well-crafted. africakevin (3), USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 1, 2007 One of my favorites. It is pleasantly hoppy without being overbearing. Color and flavor are what you would expect from a good pale ale. Aroma is slightly sweet and refreshing. Wonderful beer all around. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Pours to a slightly hazy, burnt orange color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is pleasing with fragrant aromas of pine and citrus, paired with aromas of toffee and caramel. The palate is firm with good biscuit, caramel malt, and toffee flavor, paired with a subtle back drop of citrus hop flavor. This beer finishes with more good sweet malty flavor up front, then ends with a tangy, citrus hop bite that slightly lingers. Well done, easy drinking APA, with good malt and hop character. I like the fact that the hop bitterness isn’t too overdone in this beer, yet still shines. A very good beer, from a very good brewery. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Aroma: fresh with citrus, pine notes, buzzing with hops, I like it, I like it! Kept my nose in a little extra length before imbibing, to savor this bold hoppy, fruity aura.
Generous, full texture, warm mouthfeel, flooding every inch of the oral orifice, splashing more of that tasty, tingly hoppiness everywhere. Fine, tasty malt back-up is evidenced and appreciated, and still the hops will not quit the mouth.
Refreshingly bitter and delicious with each encounter between the brew and the lips. Long finish, hoppy, sticky, a true hophead’s delight.
Label says American Pale Ale, but this is more of an American-style IPA, if anything. And it was thoroughly enjoyed Falconseye8 (525), Cartersville, Georgia, USA

Very enjoyable beer. It would be nice if it were available in this area. I believe this is my first Kentucky beer. I really enjoyed it. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA

amber. The off white creamy head is mostly lasting with a thin bubbly sheet of lace. The
brew is bitter through and through with a full hops blast, and a high citric acidity. The
finish is deep. The light to medium body is soft to lively and very dry.
