Growler sample from Party Town on 01/09/2009. Poured hazy brown color with an average off-white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate spice and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Warm hot pepper and small bittersweet flavor and medium hot finish of moderate duration. Interesting and my expectations were met.

Pours amber with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of caramel, bready malt, perhaps a hint of the spice. Taste is quite spicy, but not too intense. Caramel and bread notes provide a bit of balance. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, and a lingering spicy aftertaste. This was a well done for a style I don’t usually enjoy.
