RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 29, 2009 Poured from a 12oz. bottle into an English Pint at 49°. Color is a deep near solid brown with a hint of amber. Carbonation is light with a small fizzy head that actually has nice lacing. Aroma is a nice roasted malt scent. Taste is dry and roasted. Staring with a medium body it goes down with a light crisp feel. Finish is a roasted malt taste that gives a little chocolate and nut taste then ends with a mellow bitterness. After taste is dry as the bitterness builds a bit. Overall its a nice little Porter with good even flavors. (Bottle courtesy of jbye4334) holdenn (1432), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 25, 2009 12 oz bottle pours a brown black with a creamy head. Nose of roasted malts bakers chocolate, inviting. Flavors miss that point though. Roasty and burnt malts that are far to weak. Light chocolate roast bitterness but so much water in there that a funny ashy, cola, acidic flavor lingers on the tongue. Not too great, but it may taste nice in my chili. deyholla (507), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Oct 20, 2009 Bottle at the Bloomington Beer Festival. Poured a hazy dark brown with a light yellowish brown head. Aroma was full of malty notes with a roasted undertone as well as a touch of wood. Flavor had a more distinct chocolate note with malty undertones and a woody finish. TampaBrew (746), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 17, 2009 Pours brown.
