Roasted malt aromas in the nose, along with some faint chocolate and bittering hops. Flavor is straight toasted malt, mildly sweet, with a clean finish. A bit watery throughout, but quite the drinker. Enjoyable all around. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Added to my RB list to check "Kentucky" as a beer state consumed. A favorite from a state I don’t see much beer from. Fantastic looking porter with an undying head. Great scents of roast and cocoa and some coffee bean. Solid flavors and a good drinker. Healthy body. Great beer.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jul 29, 2007 On tap at CVG. The beer is a deep opaque brown with a mellow mocha aroma and supple head. The flavor is of fine milk chocolate and light roasted coffee with hints of raisin and prune. The flavor however doesn’t carry through to the finish. Instead it abruptly gives way to a generic malty flavor with a cloying dried fruit sweetness. Cheers! badlizard (2362), Berkeley, California, USA
