| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2007 12 oz bottle. Aroma os chocolates, roast, and some hops. Flavor is that of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts, though at times felt a bit weak by the finish I was really digging this beer. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Apr 21, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours to a beautiful, deep brown, to black color, with a tall, whithe head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose is excellent with lots of good aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, mild roast, and some herbal hop aroma. The palate is firm, with good dark chocolate, and coffee flavor. This beer finishes with more really good chocolate, and coffee up front, then ends dry and roasty. Well done example of robust porter. Very fresh tasting, very delicious beer with excellent dark chocolate and coffee character. A great beer to match with pub grub, shell fish, or deserts. FastEddie (183), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 20, 2007 Got it on tap. The nose actually has some hints of soy sauce and is very roasty. The color is very dark and the taste is really very full, and dark, in a pleasant way. I really recommend this. awaller05 (301), Sharon, Wisconsin, USA

Could smell the roast and with the first taste found it to ne a rich coffee flavor. Thanks to Shigadeyo for the traAde. goldtwins (4086), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2007 Poured a very clear dark chestnut color with a small off-white head. The aroma was roasty and fruity with a light coffee note. Chcolate notes as well. Roasty malt with a mild tartness that seems to be due to the roast, like coffee can get.
