Commercial Description:
A rich and robust blend of light, caramel, and dark malts sets the stage for BBC Dark Star Porter’s robust presence on the palate. This smooth but robust porter has complex notes of chocolate and roasted grains balanced by additions of traditional English hops, creating a delicious chocolaty and smooth ale.

12 oz. bottle via trade with decaturstevo - Pours a brown color with a half finger thick light tan head. Faint spotty lacing. Aroma is roated malt and chocolate. Flavor is also roasted malt and chocolate. Light to medium body. Watery mouthfeel. Decent beer. Thanks Steve.

Bottle. Aroma of roasted chocolate malt. The flavor consists of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Mouthfeel is pretty good; proper amount of carbonation.

Pours a watery black with a tan-khaki very small head. Smells of chocolate and caramel and a little coffee. Taste is medium-thin bodied with chocolate and metallic hops. Disappointing, would not want to drink this again.

12 oz bottle. Aroma os chocolates, roast, and some hops. Flavor is that of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts, though at times felt a bit weak by the finish I was really digging this beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours to a beautiful, deep brown, to black color, with a tall, whithe head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose is excellent with lots of good aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, mild roast, and some herbal hop aroma. The palate is firm, with good dark chocolate, and coffee flavor. This beer finishes with more really good chocolate, and coffee up front, then ends dry and roasty. Well done example of robust porter. Very fresh tasting, very delicious beer with excellent dark chocolate and coffee character. A great beer to match with pub grub, shell fish, or deserts.

Got it on tap. The nose actually has some hints of soy sauce and is very roasty. The color is very dark and the taste is really very full, and dark, in a pleasant way. I really recommend this.

Good presentation, poured a dark brown with a head that was small in size. Could smell the roast and with the first taste found it to ne a rich coffee flavor. Thanks to Shigadeyo for the traAde.

Poured a very clear dark chestnut color with a small off-white head. The aroma was roasty and fruity with a light coffee note. Chcolate notes as well. Roasty malt with a mild tartness that seems to be due to the roast, like coffee can get.
