Jun 29, 2009 Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head that disappates quickly. Smells of roasted coffee and definitely chocolate coming through through as well. Bitter roasted malts give a decent coffee flavor.

Jun 23, 2009 12 oz bottle, via alexsdad06. Pours a clear mahogany brown body with a small brown fizzy head that faded rather quickly. Dry roasty and chocolaty nose with a touch of hops. Lighter nutty and cocoa powder accents. The flavor has a good bit of grainy chocolate malt with a hefty dose of English hops. Finishes with some earthiness and coffee. Lingering burnt malt finish. Mouthfeel is dry and slightly astringent with active fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, pretty decent if you like English Porters. I could go for some more chocolate and less husky graininess.

Apr 24, 2009 dark black poor with khaki head. Sweet aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste of coffee with a smoky, bitter malt finish. Thinner bodied than I was hoping for. Still not bad.

Apr 12, 2009 Thick black pour, big thick head, lots of lace, yum. Sweet BBQ aroma. Low carbonation, a little bit of smokiness. A lot of sweetness for a porter. A nice mild alcoholic finish. Aside from the low carb this is a really good brew.

Apr 9, 2009 Bottle in Nashville. Nice dark brown pour with a foamy tan head and nice lacing. Sweet and chalky aroma plus some dry chocolate and maybe a little metal. Nice flavour that has more bittersweet chocolate and a little spice. Maybe a little thin but easly drinking and not heavy at all.

Apr 8, 2009 12oz bottle courtesy of kinz. Aromas of sweet fruit and some roasted notes. Black body with tan head. Medium bodied with a mix of roast, fruit, dry coco and some carbination. More like a sweet stout to me but a good drinkable brew.
