shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Jul 3, 2009 7/03/2009: Bluegrass English IPA is amber-colored with a dense ivory head. This beer is sweet and malty in the nose. The flavor has toasted malt and lots of orange citrus. There is a moderate amount of bitterness. It has a smooth and creamy texture. I liked the slight off balance towards the malt on this beer, but there is still plenty of hop flavor and bitterness to be satisfying. I would consider this beer to be a good session IPA.
Draught (sample) at Party Town in Florence, Kentucky. Rating #1 for this beer.
