(Bottle, BB 12/09) Pours a murky brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of black licorice, dark sugars, green pepper, wood, and mustiness. Flavor of raisins, grape juice, caramel, and toasted malt.

Aroma is malty and muffy. Cloudy, brown coloured with a perfect creamy beige head. Taste is sweet, caramel malty with some dried fruity tones. Salty and carbonated overall. Aftertaste is rotten. Unbelievable, a beer looking so beautifull can actually taste so bad...

(bottle, traded with DerDoppelbock) Hazy, opaque colour with a mid-sized beige foamy head. Dusty, sweet and slightly ashy toast-malty nose, somewhat mineralic with a light fruitiness and chocolate. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a lively carbonation. Dark malty, ashy (coloured?) taste with chocolate on a subtle fruitiness, finishes sweet, slightly bitter-yeasty with a brandy-like alcohol. Not very balanced, nor overly pleasant.

33cL from Malmedy Carrefour. Poured a very dark brown, almost opaque, with an off-white head. Flavors and aroma were slightly bitter, metallic and an almost burnt finish. Fine, but will not try again.

Dark brown colored, little light brown head. Vinous tones, berries, licorice and mild spices in aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is strongly licoricy with spices and carbonated palate. Licorice is also strong in aftertaste with mild alcohol. Basic Belgian, too strong alcohol there.

Bottled. Dark ruby colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is alcohol, chocolate and toffee. Flavour is metallic, dark and sour fruits. Warming alcohol in the finish, but nothing noted in the flavour. Watery and boring.

Bottled. Dark ruby color, small but firm beige head. Dark chocolate, molasses and coffee in the nose. Carbonated mouthfeel. Dark fruits, coffee, wood. more dry/sour and tart than sweet. Alcohol is not present at all. Long dry aftertaste.

hazy dark reddish-brown colour, fine and firm beige head; malty and biscuity aroma, notes of pear and milk coffee; overcarbonated and quite sour, medium-bodied, sweeties-like finish with more notes of chocolate, banana and pear
