Yes there are numerous British ales that are exceptionally better but this is a smooth creamy ale that hits the spot when poured correctly, which is key. The head of this beer makes or breaks it. When poured correctly it has a creamy froth that rises to the top to form an amazing head that is usually about an inch thick. I’m not saying its the best but I feel people are knocking it for not understanding the beer. Earlier Rating: 2/26/2008 Total Score: 3.3 You guys need to take this for what it is. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 26, 2008 Pours a nice golden color with a huge white frothy head. The head is super creamy, like cool whip. Great refreshing session beer. Nose - clean and refreshing, slightly flowery and nutty. Taste - very smooth and crisp and creamy, slightly bitter finish but not at all overpowering that fades out very nicely. overall- nothing too special, yet one of the best session beers. would love to try this on tap. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 14, 2008 (Canned) Pours deep golden to light amber. The aroma is of light cookie/honey like malt, floral/grass like hops and some mild fruitiness of apricot/apple/pear. Tiny hints of butterscotch. The flavour is of sweet malt like cookies and honey, grassy/honey malt and some subtle fruitiness. Tiny dry, light bitter, light sweet and light astringent. The mouthfeel is watery and soft yet a bit hard. Light bodied. This is a typical boring type of beer. onomatopee (34), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
DWestrick (244), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
