Nice cascade when you pour it into the glass and wait for it to settle! Head is like that of Guinness, it never quits. Golden brown colour, like Kilkenny but a bit lighter. Taste is like Kilkenny, but weaker, thankfully not watery weak. A decent brew, would take Kilkenny or Guinness over this anyday but sometimes have this one for a change. Pretty damn good.

Upon initially pouring this stuff looks like a caramel milkshake, it has an insane cascade effect. Nitrogen capsule floating around inside the empty can of course. After 2 minutes or so turns into a clear amber beer with an unrelenting 2 finger super creamy cream colored head. It fills up my imperial pint to the brim (too full to drink) and holds, let’s see how long... so far 5 minutes and I am tired of waiting. Aroma is applewood, planty hops, straw, metallic notes and hints of musty forest. Flavor is pretty metallic all the way through, some vague malt sweetness and wet leaves up front, hints of banana oil, bread crust and a very faint nuttiness toward the end. Finish is lightly bitter, somewhat metallic and earthy. Palate is pretty typical for a nitro-carbonated brew. Thin and watery with an annoying blanket of nitrogen bubbles coating everyone of your tastebuds, trying hard to hide the mediocre brew from them. Overall this stuff wasn’t bad, but I found the nitro cream thing to be entirely overdone (if you havent figured that out yet) and after sifting through the mess it created of the beer I found myself less than impressed. This is the first time I have really thought of this beer critically... kind of ruined it for me.

I love the way this beer looks when its poured, it has that kick ass cascading that’s just awesome to watch. The beer is a copper color with a very thick creamy head that lasted the whole beer, there was still a half inch of head at the bottom of my glass when the beer was finished. Mmmmm..... it smells like banana bread freshly baked, such a smooth beer to drink goes down very easy. Very rich creamy taste, smooth malts and banana are what I taste most, but I think there is some honey in the back ground ( maybe that is why there is bee’s on the can? ) The beer is nicely bitter just enough bite to not have it go down like water. Love this stuff even though it comes from a can.

500mL can from the Malthouse. Pours orange/amber with a beautiful nitrogen head.
Aroma has fruitcake, hops, bready malt. Smells classic.
Tastes of a classic English bitter, although a bit flat. Lack of effervescence lets this one down.

nose of metallic tang and nil otherwise. appearance is ultra pale despite the nitro’s efforts to distract you. the same goes for the palate, when you block the volimnious head out of your brain, the beer itself is extremely dead. flavor is lightly sweet but mostly on par with your standard bad pale lager. maybe some of those should add a nitro widget to turn a poor beer into a poor and exciting beer.

I had this on a cruise to the Bahamas at the suggestion of an English dude at the bar. It was nothing special, but I liked it a lot better than the domestic beers that were offered at the bar. Overall a good impression. Reminded me a lot of Guinness.
