Somewhat sweet aroma, reminiscent of a shiny new Easton baseball bat and a fresh Band-Aid... Like being in the bottling area @ A-B. Anyway, very thin, watery body reveals a quite light, sweet butter flavor, more steel, and finally the slightest hint of bitterness. Notice the diminutive adjectives here... I admit I’m a ratings whore and when I saw this on tap, I couldn’t resist. It’ll be another few years before I have this again.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Pint sized can. Pours a yellow gold with english white cream head. Smells of sweet corn malt. Taste is of malt delicately balanced by some hops. Very low carbonation. I think this beer is underrated - though there’s nothing terribly complex going on here, it’s pleasent to drink. Great beer for washing down food too. mcbeyond (45), Newport Beach, California, USA

On tap or out of their can, I do believe it is one of the best beers with pub food. Beautiful cascading head and golden color. Slightly bitter flavor, but mostly on malt. No finish at all. But it really does enhance the taste of fish and chips, fried bangers, buffalo wings, and even shrimp tempura. tekhna (118), California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 9, 2009 Nitro pint can. WARNING Do Not hold the can on its side and slowly rotate it back and forth to read the label unless you want an eruption of beer and foam upon opening. Poured a very nice looking clear deep orange amber sitting under two fingers of solid velvety white cream. Aroma was all malt based with notes of brown bread and nuts and a touch of banana Peel. Classic nitro smoothness and a light body for a true cask feel. Flavors are similar to the aroma minus the banana Peel and with an addition of subtle toffee. Drinkable but sort of forgettable.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2009 Pours hazy yellow with a very thick and high white top. Aroma is a bit bitter and wheaty, as is the very full flavor. Very mildly bitter finish. elgiacomo (98), Chickamauga, Georgia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Nitro can. Pours amber with a one-finger white head that lasts the duration. Having a hard time thinking of what to say about this one. A very average beer...sweet with a little bitterness on the finish. Fairly refreshing, but I wouldn’t pay too much for it (this can was a freebie).
