Forced to have this as there was nothing else and I wanted to watch the football. A pale imitation of what it was when I first had it 15 years ago. Some creaminess and some hop on the finish, but basically this was pants craigbeerlover (11), England

Just has faint taste of honey if that, also has gotten even worse since Interbrew moved brewing from my home city of Manchester to South Wales. It now doesn’t even have that Honey taste! yalnikim (782), Wellington, New Zealand

Looks like a widget beer immediately... thick, tight, shiny white head. Bright yellow gold with no carbonation. Little on the nose at all, this beer is obviously far from fresh. Flavour could be good but it’s rather stale and becomes quite nitrogen-ish near the bottom - honey and orange at first. Smooth mouthfeel, easy to quaff; medium body and no carbonation. Seems like a great recipe that’s turned out quite average due the the "shareholder factor". maeib (4766), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 2, 2005 Draught. An amber coloured beer with a nasty creamy head. The aroma is a bit creamy and there are some bananas in there. The taste is actually mildly hoppy, but that nitro nastiness detracts from the majority of the character it might have and actually gives it a little sulphur. hughie (3075), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Apr 5, 2005 A curious aroma which puzzled me for a long time until I remembered the late summer scent of nasturtiums in an English Country Garden. The colour was an artificial looking gold that made me think of Lucozade. The taste was woolly and indistinct. Didn’t like this. ALLOVATE (1126), Perth, Australia

Years ago Interbrew took control of the ’Cream’, commercialised it and reduced it, now they have seized control of the Strangeways Brewery, and closed it’s doors. This beer used to be an unusually bitter, blonde, cask conditioned Ale. And, yet, what I tasted was absolutely appalling. No aroma past a sprinkling of grain husks. Thin, watery body and completely flat and lifeless. Forgettable, I think it is exactly how InBev wants it!!! Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England

That said, it’s strangely easy to drink when it’s the token canned bitter at parties, probably because it’s either that or Foster’s. A small consolation is that InBev is slang for cunnilingus in their home country of Belgium, also the home of beers somewhat better than this
