Bottle at Delirium Café, Brussels. Pours amber coloured with a nice lasting egg white head. Fresh and fruity aroma with notes of caramel, yeast, cereal, nuts and dried fruit. Sweet and balanced flavour with notes of chocolate, sweet malt, toffee, yeast, dried fruit and spice. Great brew!

Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk.
Clear, dark amber-brown with a few, small floaties. A fizzy off-white head on top. Aroma has quite a spicy edge on top of toffee, caramel, yeast and plums. There are vanilla notes as well as thyme, red apple, peach. Highish carbonation, fine, dry mouthfeel. Flavour is a tad limited, rather sweet with Belgian sugars, caramel and a touch of chocolate. The spices are more subdued in flavour than aroma. Fair beer.

A hazy golden/amber colored beer, with a thick off-white head. The aroma is malt sweet with fruits and hop. The taste is malty, fruity like peaches and apricots. There is hopbitter. The aftertaste is sweet and bitter.

On tap at Salone del Gusto 2008. Hazy amber, smallish head. Sweet fruity aroma, hints of chewing gum. A bit too sweet flavours and quite a spice mix (including some cinnamon?). Not all Boelens brews impress.
