Clear, dark amber-brown with a few, small floaties. A fizzy off-white head on top. Aroma has quite a spicy edge on top of toffee, caramel, yeast and plums. There are vanilla notes as well as thyme, red apple, peach. Highish carbonation, fine, dry mouthfeel. Flavour is a tad limited, rather sweet with Belgian sugars, caramel and a touch of chocolate. The spices are more subdued in flavour than aroma. Fair beer. Scauca (413), Lovere, Italy

Sweet fruity aroma, hints of chewing gum. A bit too sweet flavours and quite a spice mix (including some cinnamon?). Not all Boelens brews impress.
