Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Mar 2, 2008 It floods out of the bottle upon opening. The beer is dark brown and the head is like on a soda and disappears just as quickly. The aroma is sweet, not very strong, lightly malty, spicy and sour. The flavour is sweetish with notes of roasted caramel, fruity hops, spice, burnt candy sugar and the finish has a citrussy bitterness. Quite ordinary. nuplastikk (428), Maryland, USA Feb 21, 2008 11.2oz Santa Bee bottle purchased in Belgium. Dark, thick, brown-amber color. Sweet with a honey-candi sugar finish. Mellow and drinkable and smooth for 8.5%. A very well-balanced Belgian Christmas Ale. I really have enjoyed all of this brewery’s honey beers, and this may be my favorite yet.
