May 31, 2007 Pours an enormous very white head, that takes its time to fade and leaves a very strong lace. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Rich aroma of herbs, with clove or cardamome and coriander, banana and pine is noticed too. Strong bitter flavor. Medium body, a bit lighter than I expected. Mouth is spicy, with coriander and banana being noticed, alongside with honey and pineapple. Very bitter finish and very nice beer.

May 13, 2007 Bottle Swingtop: Poured a golden amber with a carbonated thick creamy head. The aroma was metallic and floral. The flavor bursts into your mouth and opens your taste buds up. You could definetly taste the hoppiness, but it seems to finish dry with a gritty floral aftertaste.

May 4, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a cloudy golden body with an average creamy off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, buttery, citrus, and floral. Flavor of hops and spicy yeast with a strange, somewhat unappealing bitter herbal/floral finish.

Apr 15, 2007 Hazy blond coloured with a large white head and average carbonation. Full malty aroma, herby with some touches of koriander and grains. Full creamy palate. Finish is light bitter, malty with a slightly alcoholic ending. Very nice belgian strong ale.

Apr 9, 2007 Bottle in Ghent. Nice looking beer, with peach qualities throughout the aroma and flavor. Nice finish too. Didn’t really notice the 9.5% ABV.

Mar 11, 2007 Very light, slightly carbonic nose, but hidden very nicely. Clear, orange/amber. Big, white head that collapses relatively slowly, leaving nice lice all the way down the glass. Big and sweet, but not too hot (particularly surprisingly for that big 9.5% lurking in the background). Wow. Full-bodied and smooth. The nose gets sweeter as it warms up with some ethanol becoming more evident, but it becomes ever more well-balanced and the warming effect of the alcohol becomes apparent. There’s definitely some spiciness back there too, but probably a yeast character -- a pleasant effect for bottom-of-the-bottle drinkers who are rewarded with a pleasant nuttiness. Ultimately, very clean, well-balance and tending toward sweet, and quite enjoyable ... but don’t try pounding this one ... it DESERVES sipping.
