This amber beer has a huge and nice head. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and fruit. The flavour is sweet with notes of alcohol, coriander, yeast and fruit. The finish has nice citrussy notes, just like a nice blond. It’s a full bodied and lovely beer, but the alcohol burns a bit too much for my liking, but storing it would probably change that. I like Boerken much better.

Bottle. Clear amber, big creamy offwhite head. Nice fruity aroma, pears and apples mixed with spices. Sweetish flavours, good yeastiness and spiced fruity flavours to go with it. Alcohol is very present. Nice.

Bought in Bruge so that I could bring back to the U.S. I was looking for beers I hadn’t tried yet. I like the bottle. A decent Belgian. Not a strong strong ale, but decent.

Bottle at home. Golden, unclear, large white head with excellent lacings. Aroma heavy malty (light citrus, peach), light hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet, light bitter. Medium/full body, normal carbonated. Very fine.

Bottled. Hazy orange/golden colour with enormous white longlasting creamy head (no matter how you try to pour it). Flavour is very fruity and caramellish with some weak hints of yeast. Flavour is sugary fruity, caramellish and spices. Some slight hints of yeast also shows. Hides it’s alcohol totally. The yeasty gets stronger as the beer warms up.

Golden body with light head. Sweet fruit aroma, some caramel. Similar taste, thought with lighter spices.

Sampled at the Richmond Beer Industry Gathering 2006. Clear light golden body with a thin white head. Sweet sugary aroma. Sweet candi sugar flavor with some light caramel in the end.
