Bottle. Cloudy, orangey brown with a huge beige head. Coriander and yeasty aroma together with some grassy hops. Coriander flavours in the lead, rather sweet, some yeastiness and alcohol. Too spiced and sweet, but not ordinary.

Poured dark brown/red with a short-lived head. Sweet, malty aroma with lots of sugar and phenolic notes, as well as some cherry/plum/figs fruityness. Strange balance - and in any case, too much sugar. The taste was also quite sweet, but the malt profile was more pronounced and the complexity showed itself. Lacking balance due to the overdone sweetness, despite the hop-dryness, but it was certainly enjoyable. Mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side, but I liked the carbonation and the alcohol was hidden nicely. Overall, pretty nice & unique but a bit bland/shallow and I didn’t like the strange balance in the aroma. Decent.

(Bottled) Murky dark reddish amber with a medium, foamy head. Aroma of sweet, caramely malt, yeast, and lots of dried and banana fruitiness. Grainy, but quite smoothly malty, sweetish and very fruity flavor with medium bitterness and slight ashy hints. Yeast brings also currants to the flavor. Alcohol is very well hidden. Medium to full-bodied, foamy-carbonated palate. A quite decent, banana-fruity, slightly sahti-like Belgian Strong. Sweetish, yes, but not cloying - and considering that, hides the 9.5% quite well.

Bottle. Brown colour. Slightly sticky, with notes of brown sugar/candy sugar, with a slight toasty character towards the end. Quite sweet, with noticable alcohol. Nice bottle!

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from Quinns. Brown sugar and alcohol in the nose with a note of hubba bubba. Almost opaque red brown colour with a great pillowy tan head. More sugar and alcohol in the flavour with some caramelish malt. Enjoyable beer.
