Clear dark amber body with a medium creamy tan head. Sweet burnt malt and candi sugar aroma. Sweet candi sugar flavor with some spice and dark malt.

Special bottle, 33 cl. Dark mahogany colour, beige head. Taste sweet. Medium body. I like "boerinneken" more.

Bottled (BB 02/2008). Dark ruby color, huge creamy beige head, lace. Fruity/berry: mango and redcurrant like aroma. Medium to full bodied. Red currant juice, fruits, long hoppy and alcoholic aftertaste. Woody oak-like notes in the aftertaste. Somehow unbalanced but more enjoyable than Boerinneken.

hazy ruby-brown colour, little beige head and a nice lacing; aroma of cream and mango, notes of matured bananas; full-bodied, creamy mouthfeel, moderate bitterness; long tasty finish with more fruity notes and a warming alcohol touch - weird flavours which have been put very well together

Nice, hazy brown coloured with a ferm off-white head. Light malty, very fruity and very light alcoholic aroma. Full palate, some malty touches. Finish is light bitter, little roasted with a dryer and somewhat stronger finish. Rather soft for its 9.5 %. but very drinkable.

Bottled - De Garre - Brugge. A darkish brown coloured beer with an off-white or tan coloured head. The aroma is fruity with berries, raisins, pepper, spice and yeast. A really busy nose I found. The taste is dubbelish with candy sugars and brown fruit. Good yeasty alcohol also. Very tasty.

Bottle at De Garre, Bruges. Reddish brown, some sickly malt. Candy sugar. Not my favourite.
