Pours clear golden pale orange with a small, frothy, white head. Aroma is fruity, some sulphur, grassy, oranges and caramel. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is quite metallic and harsh. Some caramel sweetness. Some harsh bitterness. Light yeasty fruitiness. This is drinkable, but not really impressive. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Jul 20, 2009 Bottled (BS, BB 08/2010).
Clear golden color, small steady white head. Barnyardish, grassy nose. Medium-bodied. Foamy mouthfeel. Fruiy and caramelly but same time metallic, hard and dull. Filtered industrial feeling in this beer. oh6gdx (8801), Vasa, Finland Jul 11, 2009 Bottled (from belgianshop.com). Deep golden colour with foamy big white head. Nice lace. Aroma is some grass, fruits, caramel malts as well as some mild herbal notes. Flavour is fruits, some sweet maltness as well as zest and some quite big grassyness in finish. Mild metallic notes as it warms up. Ober (1161), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands May 30, 2009 Bottle from Jesse, thanx. A clear golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hops with fruits, like citrus and notes of caramel. The taste is sweet with bitter, fruity, orange and citrus. The aftertaste is some sweet with bitter. wyzzywyz22 (754), Wirral, Merseyside, England Mar 19, 2009 Bottle, Jan’s, Stoke Newington, London. Poured an amber colour with an off white dissipating head. Sickly sweet aroma which permeated into the flavour; which was caramel malt heavy mixed with some canned fruit and yeast notes. Definite acidic tinge to this and as a consequence not hugely enjoyable really.
sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Mar 12, 2009 (Bottled, BBE 21.8.2010) Clear golden with a medium, frothy and lightly lacy head. Pale-malty, grainy, lightly caramely, dryish and acidic aroma. Caramely-malty, somewhat dull and acidic flavor with some aromatic, grassy hops. Medium body with medium, soft carbonation. Quite a disappointment, with dull flavor, and almost more in common with European strong lagers, than Belgian ales. BoBoChamp (1334), Gent, Belgium Jan 2, 2009 33cl, from De Bierloods Adegem, complex brew, yet easy to drink, balanced, clear, good head, nice brew Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium Apr 17, 2008 Updated: Apr 18, 2008Bottle, 33 cl. (bought @ Van Uxeem)
Almost clear darkgolden to amber color, with dark white head.
Aroma malts, yeasts, bit spices.
Medium body.
Taste spice, fruity, some caramel, good malts, little sourness, and nice bitterness, dry end.
I’m surprised but this is not a labelbeer.
Good.
