Commercial Description:
This tradition of Southern England boasts a slightly nutty, roasted malt body seasoned with traditional ale hops. The combination of specialty malts and hops give way to a smooth flavor with a low level of bitterness.

Bohannon Nut Brown ale pours to a beautiful, bright, chestnut brown color with a creamy white head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is just wonderful, with lots of sweet and nutty aromas, and just a touch of mild hop aroma. The palate is soft, with lots of good sweet malt and nutty flavors on tongue. Bohannon Nut Brown finishes with more malty and nutty flavors up front, and ends with just a touch of roasted nut flavor and hop bitterness to balance out the sweet flavors of this beer. Wow. This beer really impressed me. This would be a staple beer for me if I lived in TN. Nut Brown Ales are very food friendly beers and would work well with a number of dishes. This would be a great beer to match with pub grub, such as Scotch eggs, Shepard’s pie, or even a nice juicy burger and fries.

Reddish brown with almost no head. Nutty-caramel aroma might have been the high point for this beer. The flavor was pretty average and thin overall. Ended with a flat finish and a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Pours a dark brown with a medium beige head. As you would expect, the aroma is full of nuts with a nice balance of malt. Just a little lacing. Average nut brown.

Bottled. Boring nut brown. Did taste the nut. Besides that tastes what it should be.

Dark brown color with a slim tan head. Nutty/caramel/malty aroma. Some nuts in the flavor as well as some roasted coffee. Pretty smooth too.

Dark red/brownish color in color, slightly cloudy. Nice white head that disappears after a few minutes. Aroma is of caramel and nuts. Had a good trace of what seems to be brown or black malt. Slightly nutty flavor. Wasn't as bad a beer as some of the other rating gave it but was a little thin. Not too bad though.

Dark brown color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is nutty, malty and VERY sweet. A light to medium bodied Nut Brown Ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. A little thin and watery tasting, and it finishes a little harsh. Not a bad beer, but really nothing special. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet
