It had almost no head which lead me to believe it had gone flat. Finally a little lacing appeared but only a little. The beer itself also tasted somewhat flat and definitely lacked in the robust area. It also left some bitterness as aftertate. But it was not a bad beer and I graded it pretty much down the middle. Not impressive beyond the aroma. bigguy (3), Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | May 27, 2003 Had one at the pPublic House. It had a good aroma and appearance, but it was very thin to the palate. The flavour was bland and did not have much character. Overall this was not a good beer. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is very nutty, with some malt as well. Medium bodied and with a decent blend of nuts, malt and hops flavors. Finish is nutty and lightly sweet. Pretty good. jazz88 (2237), San Francisco, California, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 24, 2002 Apparently as popular as the Vanilla cream ale, but it didn’t appeal to me much. It is one of the two or three (or more?) borannon beers available outside the brewery, but its bitterness took away from any distinctive taste that I might have enjoyed. I may have had a bad batch though, as all of the five or six other Bohannon beers that I have had were increadibly good. I will try this again and give it another review as soon as I can.
By the way, the Bohannon brewery has a club that I recently joined in Nashville called the Mug Club. If you go to the brewery/restaurant, they will make a mug with your name on it for twenty bucks and keep it there on the wall. Every time you go there, they give you your mug with your favorite beer at a price that is lower than everyone else gets. A good investment, especially if you are Bohannon beer fan.
