Commercial Description:
This tradition of Southern England boasts a slightly nutty, roasted malt body seasoned with traditional ale hops. The combination of specialty malts and hops give way to a smooth flavor with a low level of bitterness.

Dark brown color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is nutty, malty and VERY sweet. A light to medium bodied Nut Brown Ale. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. A little thin and watery tasting, and it finishes a little harsh. Not a bad beer, but really nothing special. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

Had a bottle at the Rainforest Cafe at Opry Mills in Nashville. Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is very nutty, with some malt as well. Medium bodied and with a decent blend of nuts, malt and hops flavors. Finish is nutty and lightly sweet. Pretty good.

A fairly hoppy nut brown that’s somewhat thin.

Bottle. A dark brown color with a laced tan head. A roasted nut (including peanuts) and malt aroma. A strong malt flavor that lingers long after it's finished. A little thin but robust in flavor.

Brown-orange, thin whitish head. Nose is very malty, plenty of peat, some caramel. Very malty and earthy flavor, vaguely smoky with a nice touch of caramel and toffee. A standard brown ale, though a quite good standard brown ale.

A handsome bottle but the beer inside is less attractive. It had almost no head which lead me to believe it had gone flat. Finally a little lacing appeared but only a little. The beer itself also tasted somewhat flat and definitely lacked in the robust area. It also left some bitterness as aftertate. But it was not a bad beer and I graded it pretty much down the middle.

Dark brown color with a slim tan head. Nutty/caramel/malty aroma. Some nuts in the flavor as well as some roasted coffee. Pretty smooth too.
