Appears to be a fairly thick beer for a flavored beer but is really smooth and crisp. Increadible aftertaste demands more of the same. Not great to mix with other beers, but good to drink a few in a row. Not too hopsy either if that’s your think. samustdog (73), USA

The nose on this beer is just wonderful. Sweet and perfumed aromas of vanilla bean and biscuity malt aromas flood the nose. The palate on this beer is crisp and firm with some good biscuity pale malt, some tart wheat malt, and a touch of caramel malt sweetness. Vanilla Creme Ale finishes with more solid malty flavors, then ends with more wonderful sweet vanilla flavors.
I was truly delighted with this beer. I was expecting it to be too sweet, and imaged it was going to taste like a cream soda. Not that, that is such a bad thing, I happen to love cream soda. Bohannon Vanilla Creme gave me the best of both worlds. This beer had enough malt character, that you knew you were drinking a beer, one that featured wonderful vanilla aromas and flavors. This beer was akin to drinking a liquid vanilla wafer, or animal cracker. A great blend of malts and vanilla. Bohannon Vanilla Creme Ale is an ideal desert beer. I would match this beer with a classic desert of banana pudding, or drink it as a desert all by itself. Bov (5514), Bienne, Switzerland

Malty and just a hint of vanilla aroma. thinnish palate, which is a surprise. enogh vanilla in the flavor to merit being called "Vannila Creme Ale", but not too over powering. maintains its beer integrity. Better than I was expecting. mrjeanned99 (1), New Jersey, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/20 | Nov 22, 2002 Tried it on vacation in Nashville, 5 years ago; haven’t found anything like it near where we live, yet. haddon90 (1043), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

Sweet taste, a little too sweet but enough to where I could handle it. Not much of a head, actually, probably none at all. But maintains enough to be a beer. DuffManOhYeah (124), USA
