lithilorn (168), Covilhã, Portugal Nov 1, 2009 Clear gold body and white head. malty and spicy aroma with some hops. Flavor is almost the same of aroma, but a little bitter. Watery and a good mexican beer. l1br4r14n (274), Washington, Washington DC, USA Oct 22, 2009 Yet another pale lager. What the point? The only redeeming quality is the brown bottle, thus no skunkiness. beercamel (81), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 15, 2009 A great lager as far as lagers go for me. A very underrated beer and a favorite of mine. Pours mexican corn and rice yellow with a hofbrau likje tingle. Has the taste of spaten with a hopped up shooter. Have fun and suck one down son. crhensel (8), New Jersey, USA does not count Oct 10, 2009 (Bottle poured into pint glass) A rather drinkable beer, a little more body than the old standby Corona. Color was amber to golden, but the taste was a tad watered down from what I was expecting given the color. A suitable choice, great compliment to my spicy dinner. Not sure why some servers think there is a need to add lime to ALL Mexican beers though! VitaminR (421), Colorado, USA Oct 3, 2009 Light nectarine and honey spice nose. Gold color, small head. Decent malt sweetness, surprising hop presence, decent balance. Big carbonation, light crisp hoppy finish. Tasty, clean flavors, different from the typical Mexican style beer, diamond in the rough. smart001 (44), Scott AFB, Illinois, USA Sep 19, 2009 [bottle] Seems i have been making a habit of testing mexican beers. This one is more stout than tecate and corona, but not as much as negra modela. Appearance is light yellow, though kind of hard to see iin the bottle, and I did not have a glass to pour it into. Palate is watery, finish is smooth and light. All in all, I will take a Negra Modelo over this, but this over most others. coldbrewky (716), Saugerties, New York, USA Sep 18, 2009 A drastic improvement over Modelo Light. Actually has a light hop tang. It will probably get better with the lime...yup. quite refreshing in the shade at Senor Frog’s while waiting for the ferry to Cozumel in Playa del Carmen. Appearance....its a sweaty cold bottle of beer! This may be the lightest IPA on the planet. njmoons (52), New Jersey, USA Sep 4, 2009 Bohemia is a very drinkable, well balanced beer.
Pours a dark amber, with a moderate head. Has a great malty/spicey aroma.
I could taste the malt at the front end, and pleasent bitterness, and a nice crisp finish with a hint of hops. I would expect more bitterness from a Pilsner, but that is not a negative for me.
Overall an excellent beer for nice days outdoors.
