It’s been ten years since I had a Bohemia. Had a few @ El Parral Mexican Restaurant in Eden, NC with a few enchilladas. Doughy aroma, could this pale lager be the Rolling Rock of Mexico?

I recently vacationed in Mexico and while I’d had this beer before in the US, I don’t recall it being as tasty as I found it in Mexico! The beer poured a pleasant amber color with a lot of carbonation in the mouthfeel. There was a rather mild but nonetheless pleasing sweet maltiness in the beer, but not a discernible hop presence. This and Modelo Especial were the two beers I consumed most during my Mexican vacation.

There is a Mexican cooking show on TV that is sponsored in part by Bohemia. I’ve seen the ad at the end of the show where they pour the beer from a bottle into a glass and it always looks luscious. So last night, while eating at a local Mexican restaurant, I ordered me a bottle of this stuff. Unfortunately, the glass they gave me had been sitting in the freezer to give it that frosted ambience (and add water to the beer as the frost melted). Anyhoo, from a 12-oz. bottle, this pours a clear, straw color with smallish, quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is light breadiness with a small hint of hops. First taste is mild saltine crackers & grain, with a nice followup of hops. Very clean, slightly bitter finish. Good mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Quite refereshing on a hot day. As others have said, preferable to Corona.

Clear, bright yellow body with a very short lasting head. Taste is almost good, a bit of corn and a touch of butter, a little thin and watery.

For a mexican beer, this was a pleasent suprise, nice malt and hop flavor, with more emphasis on the hop, cirtus aroma, not bad, overly carbonated however

For a Mexican beer, this is a pretty good one...nice amber color, flavor above average for south if the border, quite refreshing!

Bottle - Pours a golden color with small white head. Grainy flavor with a very limited amount of bitterness.
