Clear yellow color with a white, rapidly fading head. Mild, pretty weak flavors of sweet malts, adjuncts (chemicals and corn), and a slight amount of hops. Watery, thin palate. Pretty rough stuff. brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2007 My favorite of all the Mexican beers. Smooth, refreshing, and has the most flavor out of all the MexiBeers. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 18, 2007 Bottle, pours a clear gold with a fading white head. Both the aroma and the flavor show a noble hop influence over the top of a fairly simple caramel. A little grainy on the finish. jsquire (2123), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 17, 2007 Pale golden color out of the bottle with a thin fizzy white head. The aroma had an odd boiled cauliflower/artichoke note. Light caramel sweetness with a light toasted breadiness. Noticable grassy hops and mild citrus finish. The finish also had something that reminded me of canned green beans. Not the typical pale lager in Mexico, but not special either. The cantina in Chihuahua made it seem better. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 17, 2007 12oz bottle at the Winking Lizard - Pours pale golden with a short white head and a little lace. Aromas of slight german hops and frosted flakes. Just a light whiff of skunk there too. Flavor is grains, frosted flakes, and light hops at the finish. Fairly crisp and clean on the palate. Probably one of the better brews I’ve tried from Mexico but still not so great.. Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 14, 2007 This beer varies widely in quality. When it’s bad, it’s marginally better than Corona. When it’s good, it beats all of the usual Mexican beer suspects. Your best chance of finding a good, fresh bottle (which is what I’m basing this review on) is at a good Mesxican restaurant. Sweet aroma, darker color than a workaday lager, light hoppy flavor with interesting nutty (as in nut-like taste, not crazy) notes. Pleasnat aftertaste. hombrepalo (780), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2007 Not a complex beer and not full of interesting flavors, but a decent tasting pilsener that goes down easily. Anyone who grades these types of beers and is looking for a cathartic-microbrew experience is probably deserving of a low rating themselves!!

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 8, 2007 An old fav for Mexican Brew. I’m having some tamales for dinner and I thought why not start the night off in the right mood mode. Pours clear yellow with a bleached white head. Aroma is sweet, and light. The taste matches the nose, light and drinkable, nice a summer day, nice to drink deep, better tahn average, next time I’ll go from the bottle to save some face.
