| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Clear, golden Pilsener with a miniscule white head. Slight, malty aroma; a very slight hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. I guess I should have added a lime slice to add some sourness since this is a Mexican beer. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 5, 2006 Pours a pale golden yellow color. Aromas of malt, grains, grass. Flavor is a dry malt with a good hop balance. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jan 1, 2006 Light gold with a diminishing white head. Aromas are corn, sweet malts, and some yeast. Kind of flabby on the palate, not crisp, clean and refreshing like some other beers I know. Still, there is some nuance to the flavor profile, which is worth mentioning in the realm of latino beers. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 23, 2005 out of the bottle. pours golden-yellow-brown. minimal thin head dissipates quickly. pine hops and lime aroma and taste. sweet finish. compared to many basic Mexican beers, Dos Equis, Negro Modello, etc. this one’s comparative "sweet side" was a pleasant and unexpected treat. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 14, 2005 Damn my brother-in-law. He knows this style ain’t it for me, but I’ve never rated it so I’m compelled to at least pop one. Golden-yellow pour, minimal head vanishes before you can blink. Sweet, slightly hoppy nose...some malts in the flavor, but I’m having to search hard for them. Not a lot of bitterness to challenge what malt there is. Thin, but not offensive. Just not very good. What the heck, maybe I’ll drink another---but that’s it. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Dec 4, 2005 Bottle. Pours light yellow with thin white head. The aroma is sweet malt and wet carpet. The flavor is sugary sweet and a bit heavy on the dimethyl sulfide. There are some hops in the background, but they are kind of grungy. I can drink this, and I’ve certainly had worse, but I don’t want another. NachlamSie (1653), Tennessee, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Dec 4, 2005 bottle. Really light, clear yellow with no head retention. The nose is mostly faint DMS and a bit of grains. Thanks to the dark bottle for keeping most of the skunk away. Really sweet sugary flavor with not a whole lot else. Drinking this makes some hay apparent in the nose when I bring the glass to my mouth. Boring and weak, not gut-wrenching though.
