Mild malt aromas of light bread and lighter biscuit, the faintest of hop aromas. Flavor is clean and balanced yet leanng toward the bitter side. The beer is crisp and refreshing, but could do with a little more body. A good beer overall, especially on a hot summer day. Tom Servo (424), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 17, 2005 I will say this: It’s a step above every other Mexican beer I’ve had. Aroma is standard Pils, with a little more hop than usual. Big head, and looks way too carbonated. Flavor is a little more full than the standard light lager, but that’s not really hard to do. Hops up front, little malt at the end. Mouthfeel is like water with bubbles. Nothing special. IndianaRed (1555), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 14, 2005 Bottle Pours a very light yellow that is clear and quite fizzy. Large fizzt white head that recedes quickly and a thin white film is maintained. lots of litle "floaties". This coarse lacing clings to the side on each sip. Faint light grains and a bit of pear and kind of a chablis aroma. Flavors are soft sweet and woody. Moderate carbonation. Aftertaste reminds me of when I used to chew up a fuul sheet of notebook paper in seventh grade to make a monster spit-ball. Ahhh memories... oop back to reality. This beer is OK for a Pilsner i guess. SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA

No real body to it. This is the beer "that guy" orders at your local Chevy’s or On the Border restaurant. He does this because its in a funny-looking bottle that costs an extra dollar. The whole time he will tell you how this is "so much better" than that Dos XX in your hand. Don’t believe the hype. haf (333), Gijon, Spain

However, I felt like it was brewed with some care, unlike the vast majority of American lights. BeerAteHer (384), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 5, 2005 More like a fresh pale lager than a pilsener. Based on past history I cringed before the first sip, but actually this beer isn’t that bad for south-of-the-border. Very pale golden color; pours a tall white head that dissipates totally. Aroma is cheap malty but on the other hand it is very _fresh_, lacking the rancid odor of most cheap beers including many others from that region. Flavor is also quite fresh and malty, with a touch of hops and a very slight fruity complexity, perhaps lemon/mango (definitely the former). Not a great beer but definitely the choice for pounding down a few Mexicans.
