35.5 cL bottle, courtesy of Pinball. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a light tan head. Dry roasted and light breadish aroma. Light citric to fruity flavoured. Mild breadish note. Berry fruity and roasted malt flavoured finish. Subdued bitterness coming through. Strange with the sweet berry fruity touch - otherwise fine.

Black color. The mouthfeel is mellow, some good caramel flavor; ordinary.

Bottled. Reddish brown coloured. Slightly malty aroma. Loads of raisins and prunes in the flavour. Very light bodied and watery. Also too sweet.

Beer 10 Brazil trip. Dark, almost black, but obviously light bodied and bubbly. Faint sweet caramel aroma. Flavors were quite muted, of cocao, and lightly sweet. OK, but not a schwarz like I had hoped for.

I didn’t know this was a dark lager. At first, it smelled very lager-like, and did not think it was a lager, even still. The beer looks great. A new twist to the color of a lager for me, being that I have never tried an American Dark Lager before. The head is nice too, it just lingers around for awhile forming a nice head on top of the beer. There is a subtle sweet aroma to this beer. It is a roasted sweet smell that I cannot describe well. Thank God my brother’s wife is Brazilian or else I probably would never have had the chance to try this. The flavor is a little strange for me. Maybe because this lager actually has a mouth feel. The hops are not represented at all, and that sweet smell in the aroma was not the same sweet taste that was in the flavor of the beer. The beer is very thin, and carbonated well. The mouth feel is decent, but the more I think about it, it just barely surpasses that of the U.S. style lagers. Overall, pretty good beer. A better lager as compared to all of the mass marketed ones.
