PuckLSHS (101), USA Apr 18, 2005 If they are out of Negra Modela, Bohemia is the next one on my list. This beer goes with every single thing on the menu at a Mexican food place. Good taste and just a better pick than Corona.
Sparky27 (516), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 19, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a light gold with a 2 finger white head that faded faster than a 2 dollar hooker at Boy’s Town. It’s lighter than I remember it, but then again, Rocky Point, Mexico has a way of altering your memories. Nose was a bit skunky out of the bottle but that went away quickly. Sweet malt and grain aroma for the most part. Taste is your typical Mexican beer taste, only stronger which makes it better. Malt, grain and a touch of hops with a slightly metallic aftertaste. Better than most Mexican beers, but nothing beats having it with the fish tacos at JJ’s Cantina in Cholla Bay, rather than in my living room in AZ on a Tuesday. ditmier (179), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 17, 2008 2008 Bottle from some restaurant that I can’t remember the name of - Pours lt brown with a small white head...aroma is of grassy, lemony malt...flavour follows - light, mexican beer flavour of subtle bitterness and hay or grass grain, somehow different that a corona or pacifico, not sure how as they are all made with the same shit... chrissy (81), Connecticut, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle: Not a bad taste just boring. Very light with a lemon taste. Not very exciting, would work well as a thirst qunecher. Steinface (68), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2008 An extremely boring beer. Tasted of lemon water. No detection of an aftertaste for me. Might as well have a Corona yngwie (3458), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. A pale golden beer with a white head. Nice lemony nose, but there’s not much else, just a touch of pale malt. Quite lemony in the mouth too, with a nice bitterness and a little pine. Quite thin body, and a sweet and lemony finish. I guess it works nice as thirst quencher, but it has no qualities except for that, and that it’s a tasty pilsner. Too thin and one-tracked though. (080812)
