Bottle at Mezcalito’s in Cozumel with some above average fajitas. Light caramel nose. Body is medium, and shortlived. An amber in the plastic cup they gave me with a tan head that disperses fast. finish is same as sweet body.

Bottle. And now a good Vienna beer from Mexico. And guess what: it’s not a Modelo-beer, but from Cuachtemoc Moctezuma (the brewery that makes the better beers in Mexico). this beer is amber coloured, without bubbles and without a head. The smell is malyu, light grainy, light in the nose. Maybe too light. The taste is OK but light. But there is a light stiff grainy and malty taste with a yeasty finish on it, making it a very decent beer.

Bottled. An amber beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and metal, and so is the flavor.

cereal malt taste it is refreshing and foamy. that same carbonation gives off a soy sauce like flavor in the finish. with a touch of roasted sweetness and an essence of hop bitterness in the aroma and taste as well... not bad.

If you ever find yourself in Oaxaca on a 90+ degree day and you don’t want any of the crappy beers like Tecate, Corona or Sol do yourself a favor and get this beer. Maltier, roastier and richer than any mass produced beer I’ve had in Mexico. A very nice effort from a major Mexican brewery. Remember to order the Obscura, not the Clara!

bottle, in Puebla. Pours a clear dark brown color, moderate head. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet. Flavor was bitter but not as much as most other Mexican beers. Tastes kind of watered down but palate was decent and one of the better options in Mexico.

Bottle - 325ml. Pours a dark brown body with good carbonation and a thin off-white bubbly head. Malty/hoppy aroma with some sweet and roasty hints. Taste is relatively well balanced, but it lacks complexity. Ends with a short bittersweet finish. Compared to most of the beers from Mexico, this is drinkable.
