Commercial Description:
Our Czech Pilsener (a.k.a. Bohemian Pilsner) is the purest of beers - in our eyes. Clear and golden in color, light and crisp in taste. Our lager is well aged from real Pilzen Malt and actual imported Czech Yeast from Branik - Prague, Czech Republic. Only the finest Saaz hops are used to emulated this outside-of Pilzen, Pilsener. Crafted after one of our favorite Pilsners, Pilsner Urquell - you won’t be disappointed in this true Czech beer. The closest thing to Bohemian Pilsner you can get without actually being in the Czech Republic.

Draft at brewery, late summer ’09: Bright and clear gold hue. Smooth, light and easy to drink. Toasty malts. Flowery-grassy hop bitterness with just OK aromas. No major complaints, but nothing too exciting, either.

12oz can. Pours a bright, lightly tarnished honey color; thin off-white head with solid fine-bubbled lacing. A basically non-existent aroma of honey, light maltiness, and a cardboard note; very bland. Light-to-medium mouthfeel: a heavy, syrupy honey note at the core; definitely uncharacteristically heavy; one-dimensional otherwise, just a note of honey, some bready malts, and a slightly sticky sweetness; just difficult to drink a lot of this; poorly crafted and minimally hopped; I don’t feel like I’m in the Czech Republic, sadly. Medium finish of toasty malts and lingering honey sweetness; still slightly heavy at the far end.

( 12oz can thanks to ericandersnavy) Pours clear pale yellow with some bubbles. Nose of honey, and crisp citrus hops. Taste is honey, light citrus hops and has a crisp sweet finish. A drinkable beer.

Can thanks to ericandersnavy. The look is clear, golden in color, with a white head. The smell is grains and corn. The taste is corn and grains. Not a whole lot of going.

Can thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a white head and a yellow body. Aroma of corn, grass and fresh sourdough bread. Taste is bitter with corn and grass, low residual sugars. Dry mouthfeel with medium carbonation. A nice and fresh American Pilsner.

Can from secret santa Merry X-mas. Pours a cloudy golden with a good white head. The head is fizzy but mostly lasting. Has fairly good lacing. Aroma is of grains, some floral and a touch of metalic. Has a dull carbonation. The flavor is okay for a pilsner. Decent malts and smooth. Has a light body. The finish and aftertaste is a touch weak. Overall a decent beer but not great.
